What is a Pinewood Derby?

A Pinewood Derby traditionally is a wooden model car race .  These are hand carved or saw cut wood car bodies created to general requirements.  These cars are run on a track that is used to race one car against another.   
 

Many people still have these cars laying around from their younger days and there are many kids out there with these cars from their "Scouting Days" also. 

What makes this event different?

1.  These races are open to everyone 
2.  You may enter an older existing car or you may make a new one. 
3.  Categories will range from individuals, teams, age groups and more.
4.  The rules for car requirements will be minimal to allow for a very interesting racing format.
5.  You may enter more then one car per person.
